- Went to Chicago for a wedding;
- Put things in motion for an inspection and appraisal of the house I'm trying to buy;
- Had my bridesmaids fitted for their dresses (and got fitted for a bridesmaids dress for a wedding I'm in 2 weeks after my own);
- Put up my boss's campaign website;
- Tried advertising for my webcomic, Snakes at the Airport, and managed to increase my fans 4-fold :D.
So I've been kinda busy.
Needless to say that the change in time zones kind of screwed up my Goal #1 (Sleeping better), but even so I am of the opinion that I operate on Central Standard Time. Regrettably, I had to leave Chicago behind, more fully appreciating why so many of my peers have fled Detroit for the Windy City. The area we stayed in, a neighborhood north of downtown called Lincoln Park, was pretty freaking awesome, I must say. But now I am back in Michigan, my sleep schedule back on track after a few 10-hour sleep nights.
I was going to begin my Goal #2 (exercizing more often) before Chicago but felt better postponing it until this week. Last night, I went for a run (well, more of a run-walk) as recommended by Cool Runnings (yah man!) suggested to me by fellow blogger Jessica at JustJayTomboy. The program was easy, and I felt good. I wasn't discouraged by the program's suggestion - 60 seconds of running followed by 90 seconds of walking. It says to take breaks inbetween runs, but poppycock, I say. When I ran cross country in high school, we'd run every day. No rest day for me.
I'm trying to figure out what the next installment of Saturday Morning Noms will be. I love the recipes from over at Cheap Healthy Good - a blog I totally less-than-three ^_^. But I'm also open to suggestions - readers, please let me know what your favorite breakfast is!
