My case for the WTF button

I have to make this quick - despite the fact that the Red Wings are playing I'm attempting to get back into my regular sleep cycle, which means no computer or TV past 9:30. But I saw something that I just had to post, something that renews my call for a .... RED WINGS SCORE!!! GO WINGS!

Ahem. My apologies. Watching the game and trying to write at the same time can be somewhat haphazard and distracting. Anyway.

A few days ago I saw this ad on Facebook:

Now I didn't actually click on the ad, and I didn't quite want to "like" it, it being on the border of satirical and sacrilegious as it may be. But what I did long for in this case - as is the case with many bizarre news stories and statuses, is a "WTF" button. Sometimes, things on facebook aren't as simple as liking or disliking something. Sometimes, you read something and you think to yourself, "...What?!"

I would imagine the WTF button to look like this:

And when reading how many people thought "wtf," the line could read: "3 people like this and 50 people thought "wtf?".

Anyway it's not some long logical diatribe, but it is my simple case. It may never happen but I still think (and will continue to think) that a wtf button could help social media participants more accurately portray exactly what their reaction is to something on the site.

That's it for today - up next: How Target and $30 saved my potential Wedding guest fashion faux pas. :D
